As always, forefront has to be disabled (fscutility /disable) before installing the update and enabled (fscutility /enable) afterwards. This rollup is only for Exchange 2010 SP2 and any interim updates from Microsoft PSS has to be deleted prior to the installation.
Download the rollup here
You can use the Address Book Policies for different address books, which avoids playing with ACLs.
Hey,
Just wanted to know whether you can install this update on top of Exchange SP1 Update Rollup 3?
Also, do you know if there are any good step by step guides to achieving multi tenancy in Exchange 2010 SP2 environments? I have read through the MS guide and have to conclude that to achieve multi tenancy with SP2 with complete isolation is a tedious task. ABPs is one thing, then you need to look at default free/busy permissions, securing distribution groups, securing OAB etc. MS just loves to complicate things.
Thank you, love your site. Keep up the good work.
Thanks.
You cannot install this rollup on top of 2010 SP1 UR3. You need to upgrade your servers to 2010 SP2, before you can install this rollup.
OK thanks, will ensure to SP2 the Exchange servers first.
Also, do you have any step by step guides to achieve complete multi tenancy in SP2 environments?
Thanks…
Thanks for the reply…
Just wandering whether you have come across any good information on how to completely isolate tenants with SP2?
Thanks.
