The Exchange Team has made a big shift in the administration of Exchange 2013, by replacing the familiar management console and control panel with a web based admin console.
In Exchange 2013, the EMC that we are used to in 2007 & 2010 is the Exchange Control Panel with a big facelift. Since the console is now web based, it can be used from any machine without the need of installing any management tools. This new console replaces the EMC and ECP that we are familiar with in the 2010 world. Microsoft supports the EAC on a number of OS & browser combinations. The table below (from TechNet) shows the supportability.
In order to login to the EAC, navigate to https://<servername>/ecp using your preferred browser. Login using your admin credentials.
Once signed in, you get the option to set the language and time zone (similar to OWA 2010). This only happens when you login for the first time.
You will now be presented with the options to manage your 2013 environment, provided you have the rights assigned. If you are familiar with 2010 EMC, the layout is similar. You don’t be lost!
This new web based console allows you to manage your 2013 on-premise, online and hybrid deployments, all from the same window.
This is a quick intro to the new Exchange Admin Center in 2013. Setup a test lab and play with the different options in EAC 2013 to make yourself familiar with the tool to use in the next Exchange version

IN Exchange server, I cannot open the ECp page with link: https:///ecp, but https://localhost/ecp.
From another PC, open IE8, type: https:///ecp –> OK . But https:///ecp , cannot.
I created certificate with Externl and Internal host are: , but this issue has still happen. Also, add FQDn of exchange into Local Zone in IE.
Please help me solve it.

You are supposed to open ECP via https://localhost/ecp or /servername/ecp or /vip/ecp.

could I change the EAC URL with another one ? I have a problem to access EAC when i have been access ECP from user mailbox. when i tried to connect https://serverfqdn/ecp, its prompt me owa credential to access mailbox ecp. its very annoying.

ECP access needs an authentication. That is by design and it does make sense. You don’t want anonymous users access to your Exchange admin centre!

It could be anything Raghuveershetty. You need to post any error you have for me t help you out. Any errors in event viewer? Was the 2013 installation completed successfully?
As Blackberry Enterprise Server replaced it’s Management console with web based administration. I thought many other product will also come up with the same idea to ease the Management from anywhere. Many other will follow the same with their new product release……….

I have a problem, when I try to install Exchange 2013 on Windows 2008 R2 the next issue at finally setup:

Is this error after the installation or during the install? Have you configured IPv4 addresses? Even 2013 doesn’t support pure IPv6 addresses.

Can you give us an idea of how “complete” of an experience it is using the new web-based management over the previous EMC? As in, are there things that you can/can’t do in EAC that you could do in ECM?

I haven’t looked deep into EAC, but pretty much similar to EMC 2010 with more of the new 2013 features of course. If it can’t be done in EAC in 2013, Shell is the only other tool.
