Office for Mac 2011 has been released to manufacturing – consumers and businesses will be able to purchase it from stores by the end of October.
Office 2011 is a major release for the Mac, shedding the unpopular Entourage email client in favor of a Mac-native version of Outlook. It also adds support for Microsoft services like SharePoint and SkyDrive, improves performance, redesigns the user interface (again) and aims to improve compatibility with the Windows versions of Office.
