The Microsoft Transporter Suite is a free tool for migrating content from Lotus Domino servers or generic POP/IMAP servers to Exchange and Active Directory. Microsoft has confirmed that it will not support the tool for Exchange Server 2010.
This gives two options for companies moving to Exchange 2010 from Lotus Notes & generic POP/IMAP servers. Either buy expensive third party software or introduce Exchange 2007 in the environment, migrate using Transporter Suite & then move to Exchange 2010.
On the contrary, Google is offering free migration tools (Google Apps) for migrating from Exchange and Lotus Domino to Google servers.
