Notes Issue In Outlook Web App (OWA) Continues In 2010 SP1 Beta…

As 2010 SP1 Beta is out, I tried the same functionality and the story remains the same.
It looks like Microsoft is not interested in the "not much used" Notes feature! You can of course create “notes” using Outlook.
Yes it was missing and can’t create new note from main folder list.
I saw a lot of people complain about this but You can keep use a note by simple step.
create a new folder on public folder.
Goto Public folder then Right click folder you want to create a location (directory) –> Create New Folder –> Notes Folder
then Copy/Move your Notes from outlook to note folder you just created.
that’s it now you can access your notes from OWA and create, modify, delete whatever you want like before or outlook.
Thanks Sung
Better still if you want to use notes – just select your notes folder and then click new
Hi Bob,
The issue is that notes is not available in 2010, even when you select Notes folder.
Yeah, Bob, clicking “new” opens the new email message form. I wouldn’t be surprised if the new “stickynote” form exists in OWA, but no way to access it. When opening an old note, I can see in part of the URL… Item&a=Open&t=IPM.StickyNote There’s probably no way to trick the url into opening a new note. Just curious, It would be interesting though. I always enjoy finding weird little easter eggs like that.
You can always start an email and then click save – it will go into your drafts folder
Thanks
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thanks!
~Used to Love “Notes” feature
Thanks Chill.
Thanks Anonymous.
Looks like the task menu is added by mistake in OWA.

But if i need to create a note, i use tasks instead. Whatever.
Maybe they will fix it in 2010 SP1 RTM. Let's wait and see Anonymous.
I love to store passswords in Notes. Too bad, what they are broken in web access.
I found a way to use notes!!!!!! if you already had notes saved in the notes folder, open up an old entry. There is a post reply up at the top (it’s the sticky note with the push pen icon). This will open up a new note with the old RE.. you can change the RE subject area, highlight and delete the old note you had created and post your new note and it doesn’t interrupt the old posting, meaning the old entry is still available. I hope this helps some of you as it did me.
Good workaround Lia. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t see the post reply (i.e. sticky note icon you mentioned). Help
