I have been asked this question a number of times by colleagues & would-be bloggers – where do you host your site, what tools do you use to power it so fast etc. I have put together all the tools I am currently using to run this site, with a hope that it might inspire atleast one other person to pursue his blogging passion.

This company offers super fast WordPress hosting with CloudFlare Enterprise (CDN, Argo routing, Image Polishing, Application Firewall, Daily Backups, Redis Cache etc) included in all the plans. Their support is superb – you hit the chat button & a WordPress expert is there on the other end – no queues or escalations.

GeneratePress Theme
The fastest, light weight WordPress theme in the market. It won’t slow down your website at all. Clean design and easy to use. I have been using this team since it came to the market. Having a poorly coded theme will hurt you even if you have a fast hosting. You need a theme which is less than 50KB & not an MB!
You can move away from your existing theme without any issues. Even though the core theme from GeneratePress is completely free, you ideally need their paid version for all the features. Check out GeneratePress.
GenerateBlocks
GenerateBlocks is a small collection of lightweight WordPress blocks that can accomplish nearly anything. You are create professional looking websites with pre-defined templates for everything like footer, header, body etc. The ‘professional’ looking footer on this site came as a pre-defined template which I copy pasted.
